Police on Friday arrested 5 individuals and recovered a pretend gold statue of Jesus Christ, biscuit in two separate operations in Assam’s Nagaon and Sonitpur districts, police mentioned.
In the primary operation, police performed an operation at Namdoboka Pathar space underneath Doboka police station in Nagaon district and arrested three individuals.
The police staff recovered one pretend gold statue of Jesus Christ weighing 1.700 kg in possession from them.
A police officer of Doboka police station mentioned that they launched the operation based mostly on secret info.
“We have recovered one pretend gold statue of Jesus Christ and arrested three individuals. The arrested have been recognized as Aslam Talukdar, Zubair Hussain and Iqbal Hussain. Our investigation is on,” the police officer mentioned.
In a separate operation, Sonitpur district police arrested two individuals and recovered a pretend gold biscuit from the Tezpur Salanibari space.
The arrested individuals have been recognized as Ikramul Hussain and Jamal Ali.
Further investigation is underway.
