Kannauj, Uttar Pradesh:
In a suspected case of meals poisoning, round 70 folks, together with a number of kids, have been hospitalised after consuming at a marriage feast in a village in UP’s Kannauj, a senior official stated at this time.
Sub-Divisional Magistrate Garima Singh stated the sufferers ate on the operate in Madharpur village on Tuesday night.
Of the round 200 individuals who consumed the meals, about 70 complained of vomiting and diarrhoea after consuming ‘rasgulla’ (a milk-based candy) served there, she added.
Arzoo (1), Yusuf (2), Shifa (4), Asra (5), Sazia (7), Irfan Khan (48), Sultan (52), and Riyazuddin (55) have been admitted to the district hospital after their situation worsened, Mr Singh stated.
Dr Shakti Basu, Chief Medical Superintendent of the district hospital, stated the situation of all of the sufferers within the district hospital is steady, including that some have been taken to non-public hospitals.
Munna, a resident of the village, stated virtually everybody who attended the feast had eaten the rasgulla, following which a number of fell unwell.
