
Two accused have been arrested for supplying poisonous liquor
Chennai:
Eight folks died after consuming alleged poisonous liquor in two separate incidents in Tamil Nadu.
Four died in Villupuram district and 4 in Chengalpattu district, the police mentioned.
Over 30 folks have been hospital, the police mentioned.
Two accused have been arrested for supplying illicit liquor, they mentioned, including particular groups are trying to find extra suspects.
Senior police officer Kannan, IG North Zone, mentioned a complete of seven policemen together with inspectors and sub-inspectors have been arrested.
“Those who died are suspected to have consumed industrial methanol combined Illicit liquor,” he mentioned.
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin introduced a compensation of Rs 10 lakh for the households of those that died, and Rs 50,000 for many who are present process therapy.
