Shares of Adani Total Gas and Adani Transmission fell in morning commerce on Friday after MSCI introduced that the 2 firms will transfer out of the MSCI India Index with impact from May 31.
The inventory of Adani Total Gas tumbled 5 per cent to Rs 812.60 — its decrease circuit restrict — on the BSE.
Shares of Adani Transmission declined 5 per cent to hit its lowest buying and selling permissible restrict for the day at Rs 871.15.

“MSCI has introduced the addition of Max Healthcare, Hindustan Aeronautics and Sona BLW Precision to its India Index, as a part of the May 2023 rejig. On the opposite hand, Adani Transmission, Adani Total Gas and Indus Towers have been deleted from the MSCI India Index,” stated Deepak Jasani, Head of Retail Research, at HDFC Securities.
MSCI Global Standard Index is broadly utilized by international fund homes for benchmarking international equities portfolios.
