The Jharkhand High Court on Tuesday rejected the bail plea of Pankaj Mishra, the previous political consultant of Chief Minister Hemant Soren, in a cash laundering case associated to unlawful mining.
Mr Mishra was arrested in July final yr by the Enforcement Directorate (ED).
Justice Gautam Kumar Choudhary dismissed Mr Mishra’s bail software after listening to arguments within the case.
The ED had filed a cost sheet towards Mr Mishra and his two aides — Bachhu Yadav and Prem Prakash — on September 16 final yr earlier than a particular Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) courtroom in Ranchi.
