A Goa man was compelled to apologise and chant ‘Bharat Mata ki jai’ after a video displaying him cheering for Pak cricket staff emerged on the web.

By India Today News Desk: A retailer at Goa’s Calangute was compelled apologise in public and lift ‘Bharat Mata ki jai’ slogans by a bunch of males after a video of him cheering for the Pakistan cricket staff surfaced on social media, reported the information company PTI.
The incident occurred after a journey vlogger launched an undated video, displaying the store proprietor in Calangute, North Goa expressing assist for the Pakistan cricket staff. It seems that the video was filmed throughout a match between Pakistan and New Zealand.

The video exhibits the vlogger having a short dialog with the person. The vlogger asks the store proprietor, “Who is enjoying? Are you cheering for New Zealand?” The man replies, “For Pakistan.” The vlogger then asks him why, to which the person responds saying, “This is Muslim space.”
On Thursday, a bunch of people confronted the store proprietor after a video of him went viral, questioning him for his alleged assist of Pakistan. The incident was captured on video and likewise circulated broadly on social media. As of now, no formal grievance has been lodged with the native police relating to this incident.
