Women bagged the highest 4 ranks within the civil companies examination 2022 with Delhi University graduate Ishita Kishore securing the primary spot, the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) introduced on Tuesday.

Garima Lohia, Uma Harathi N and Smriti Mishra secured the second, third and fourth ranks respectively within the examination, outcomes of which had been declared on Tuesday.

Ms Lohia and Ms Mishra are graduates of the University of Delhi, whereas Harathi N is a B.Tech diploma holder from IIT-Hyderabad.

This is the second 12 months in a row when girls candidates acquired the highest three ranks within the prestigious examination. Shruti Sharma, Ankita Agarwal and Gamini Singla had secured the primary, second and third positions respectively within the civil companies examination 2021.

Harathi N, a B.Tech in Civil Engineering from IIT, Hyderabad stood third with Anthropology as her optionally available topic.

Ms Mishra, a graduate (B. Sc.) from Miranda House College, University of Delhi, stood fourth with Zoology as her optionally available topic.

The advisable candidates embody 41 Persons with Benchmark Disability (14 Orthopedically Handicapped, seven Visually Challenged, 12 Hearing Impaired & 8 Multiple Disabilities).

Out of the overall certified candidates this time, 345 are from General class, 99 from Economically Weaker Section (EWS), 263 Other Backward Classes (OBC), 154 Scheduled Caste (SC) and 72 from Scheduled Tribe (ST).
