By Sagay Raj: Tipu politics is raging in Karnataka forward of Assembly polls. Weeks after minister CN Ashwath Narayan requested the general public to “finish off” Congress’s Siddaramaiah like Tipu Sultan, one other BJP chief invoked the 18th-century Mysore ruler.
Addressing a rally in Vijayapura, BJP MLA Basangouda Patil Yatnal in contrast Muslims to Tipu Sultan and requested folks to not solid a vote for a Muslim chief.
“All MLAs ask me, in your constituency there are one lakh Tipu Sultans (Muslim votes) how a Shivaji Maharaj descendant gained from Bijapur. Going ahead in Bijapur, not one of the followers of Tipu Sultan will win,” he stated in Kannada.
“Even by mistake you shouldn’t solid your votes for Muslims,” he added.
