Nearly 1,000 individuals have been arrested in Pakistan’s Punjab, the nation’s most populous province, since protests erupted after the arrest of former prime minister Imran Khan, police stated Wednesday.
“Police groups arrested 945 regulation breakers and miscreants from throughout the province,” officers stated in an announcement to media, including 130 officers and officers have been injured within the violence that broke out after Khan’s arrest on Tuesday.
