One individual was killed and three extra had been injured, two of them critically, after a non-public bus sliding backwards on a slope following a suspected brake failure hit six automobiles within the Kondhwa space on Sunday night.
The mishap happened round 7.30 pm within the NIBM highway space and concerned a non-public bus that hit a rickshaw, a tempo, three automobiles and a two-wheeler.
Police have recognized the deceased as Prashant Ghemud (37). The driver of the bus Mainuddin Shaikh (42) has been detained for questioning. Express {photograph} by Arul Horizon
“Initial information suggests that a private bus had a brake failure on the upward gradient of a slope and came backwards to hit six vehicles. One person has has died and three more injured. Two of the three injured are critical.” Said Inspector Santosh Sonavane of Kondhwa police station.
Police have recognized the deceased as Prashant Ghemud (37). The driver of the bus Mainuddin Shaikh (42) has been detained for questioning.
