Rupee Rises 21 Paise To 81.15 Against US Dollar

The rupee opened on a optimistic notice and gained 15 paise to 81.15 in opposition to the US greenback in early commerce on Friday.

On Thursday, it settled at 81.36 in opposition to the greenback.

Meanwhile, the greenback index, which gauges the dollar’s energy in opposition to a basket of six currencies, rose 0.09 per cent to 102.15.

Brent crude futures, the worldwide oil benchmark, superior 0.65 per cent to USD 86.72 per barrel.

According to Sriram Iyer, Senior Research Analyst at Reliance Securities, the rupee opened stronger on Friday monitoring features within the NDF markets. The NDF settled at 81.1650 on Thursday.

“However, stronger crude oil costs, risk-off sentiments amid mounting international development considerations and weak begin for the Asian and rising market friends this Friday may maintain features in verify,” Iyer stated.

The foreign money may eke small features for the week supported by greenback inflows and weaker greenback index, Iyer stated.

In the home fairness market, the 30-share BSE Sensex was buying and selling 94.17 factors or 0.15 per cent decrease at 60,764.26. The broader NSE Nifty declined 25.15 factors or 0.14 per cent to 18,082.70.

Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) have been internet patrons within the capital market on Thursday as they bought shares value Rs 399.98 crore, based on alternate information.
