Already operating a “selfie with labharthi (women)” marketing campaign to achieve out to ladies beneficiaries of varied authorities schemes forward of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, the ladies wing of the UP BJP on Sunday will felicitate distinguished ladies achievers from numerous fields with “Sushma Swaraj Award”, an award named after BJP chief late Sushma Swaraj.
Besides, the celebration goes to launch a “Kamal Mitra” programme subsequent week, through which its mahila morcha employees will assist ladies get advantages of varied authorities schemes. According to BJP sources, the Prime Minister Office (PMO) and BJP nationwide management will supervise the execution of those programmes.
In UP, BJP Mahila Morcha state president and Rajya Sabha member Geeta Shakya had for the primary time conferred Sushma Swaraj Award on 15 ladies within the Loni Assembly constituency space of Ghaziabad district on Friday. The recipients got a memento and a shawl.
“Women who have established their identity in any field and helped common people for a social cause will be given this award named after the late Sushma Swaraj ji, who served the nation and society as an MP, MLA and Union minister. On Sunday, an award conferring programme will be organised in all UP districts. Intellectual women like lawyers, doctors, engineers and teachers and others will be conferred with the award,” stated Shakya.
The BJP Mahila Morcha has a plan to felicitate a minimum of 10 ladies in every district on Sunday. “Every woman in the country knows Sushma ji. She had made her own identity. She is our inspiration and guiding force. Hence, this award is named after her,” stated Shakya.
Talking in regards to the goal behind the award, Shakya stated it will assist join extra ladies with the celebration.
Last Sunday, 26 ladies had been honoured with Sushma Swaraj Award in Dehradun by Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami at an occasion organised by the Uttarakhand BJP’s ladies wing.
In UP, the BJP Mahila Morcha has been operating the “selfie with labharti” programme since February 27 beneath which mahila morcha employees take selfies with ladies beneficiaries of varied schemes run by the central and the UP governments and would put up their images with particulars of the schemes they’re availing on a celebration’s cell app in addition to NaMo app.
“In the next few days, we are going to start the Kamal Mitra programme in which mahila morcha workers will help eligible women, who could not apply for various government welfare schemes due to lack of awareness about the application process, to get benefits. Party workers will impart to them the procedure for various welfare schemes. For this purpose, mahila morcha workers are being trained as Kamal Mitra and one Kamal Mitra will be assigned one polling booth area,” stated Shakya.
Shakya added that these programmes purpose to attach with ladies throughout the nation and that girls beneficiaries from each part and neighborhood are taking part in these
campaigns.
The BJP’s ladies reach-out programmes maintain significance because the earlier voting traits present extra ladies voters’ turnout than males. In the 2022 UP Assembly elections, the turnout of feminine voters was 62.21 per cent in opposition to 59.34 per cent of male voters.
