A youngster was killed and his grandmother was severely injured in Nakhrola village right here after a lanter of an under-construction home fell on them, police mentioned on Saturday. An FIR was registered towards the development contractor and others on the Kherki Daula police station beneath IPC sections 336 (act endangering life or private security of others), 337 (inflicting damage by act endangering life or private security of others) and 304A (inflicting dying by negligence) on a grievance by the daddy of {the teenager} on Saturday, they mentioned.
The lifeless has been recognized as Aditya (15), a police officer mentioned.
According to the complainant Naresh Kumar, contractor Jai Prakash put in the lanter on Friday.
“My mom Santosh Devi (55) was cleansing a drain in entrance of our home Friday night. My son was standing in addition to her when the lanter fell on them. With the assistance of villagers, we took each of them to a close-by non-public hospital.
“My mom was discharged after therapy and my son was referred to Delhi’s Safdarjung Hospital the place he died throughout therapy late Friday evening. The contractor is accountable for my son’s dying,” Kumar mentioned.
Inspector Rajender Singh, SHO, Kherki Daula police station mentioned the incident is being probed.
